Chawan - One off piece

Chawan cup, Hand thrown by one of our potters. Crafted in an iron rich clay from St, Agnes, Cornwall. Finished in a simple gloss glaze. Thrown in a gentle curved style, with a traditional foot ring. 

This Chawan is a delicate addition to any collection and makes a pleasant alternative to a small wine glass. It can be cupped in one hand, its form satisfyingly hugging the curve of your relaxed palm. The clay body is course, and juxtaposes the glossy, smooth glaze upon it, which pools and flows to create a naturally forming pattern.
